Sprite

Sprite is a carbonated soft drink made from lemon and lime extracts created by The Coca-Cola Company in 1961. Its taste is similar to lemonade . Sprite contains carbonated water, sugar, acidifiers: citric acid , sodium citrate, natural lemon-lime flavors and a sweetener : steviol  glycosides . It is the direct competitor of 7 Up from the other American soda giant, PepsiCo . In 2020, Sprite returned with the original taste by removing all sweeteners (steviol) from the recipe.

Sprite exists in a sugar-free and calorie-free version: Sprite Zero.

In the 1990s , Sprite was the subject of a marketing campaign based on the slogan ”  Image is nothing: thirst is everything  ” . The originality lay in the fact that an advertising campaign was used to make ironic comments on advertising in general
